NIWF is an umbrella organization of 50 Indigenous Women Organizations, located in Kathmandu Metropolitan City-10, Buddhanagar, Kathmandu-Nepal. NIWF has been working on the full realization and exercise of indigenous women's right with social, economic, political and environment justice at the center since 1999. It is a national organization which is registered in 2000 A.D. in District Administration Office (DAO) and Social Welfare Council (SWC), Nepal. The NIWF is the right-based organization that works for Indigenous women of Nepal with the vision of a just and inclusive Nepali society, where Indigenous women and girls are empowered to achieve ethnic origin-based identity and human dignity.
