Training
NIWF provides training and capacity-building opportunities for its member organizations on Climate Change, Land Rights, Gender-Based Violence, Food Preservation, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and Economic Development to strengthen the capacity of Indigenous communities and promote sustainable, inclusive, and rights-based development.
International Advocacy participation
NIWF actively participates in regional and international forums, conferences, and advocacy platforms to amplify the voices of Indigenous Women and promote their rights at the global level.
Orthography Development and Language Preservation
NIWF supports the preservation, promotion, and revitalization of Indigenous languages through orthography development initiatives. We work with Indigenous communities, language experts, and cultural practitioners to document languages, develop writing systems, produce learning materials, and strengthen intergenerational language transmission

NIWF has been working on the full realization and exercise of indigenous women's right with social, economic, political and environment justice at the center since 1999. It is a national organization which is registered in 2000 A.D. in District Administration Office (DAO) and Social Welfare Council (SWC), Nepal. The NIWF is the right-based organization that works for Indigenous women of Nepal with the vision of a just and inclusive Nepali society, where Indigenous women and girls are empowered to achieve ethnic origin-based identity and human dignity.
