National Indigenous Women's Federation (NIWF)

General Assembly (GA) is a sovereign body of NIWF, convened in every three years. There shall be one representative from each member organization in the GA. Federal Council (FC) comprises of representatives of member organizations and the secretariat. FC has mandates to formulate program, implementation and observation according to the resolution of General Assembly. It has further a mandate to carryout necessary work to achieve objectives of the NIWF complying its Constitution. The Secretariat comprisezbsvb zbshd. zb  bvss of eight members, out of them seven members including the Secretary General are elected by GA except the Chairperson who serves according to the rotational turn of member organization. NIWF is an umbrella organization of 50 Indigenous Women Organizations, located in Kathmandu Metropolitan City-10, Buddhanagar, Kathmandu-Nepal. NIWF has been working on the full realization and exercise of indigenous women's right with social, economic, political and environment justice at the center since 1999. It is a national organization which is registered in 2000 A.D. in District Administration Office (DAO) and Social Welfare Council (SWC), Nepal. The NIWF is the right-based organization that works for Indigenous women of Nepal with the vision of a just and inclusive Nepali society, where Indigenous women and girls are empowered to achieve ethnic origin-based identity and human dignity.
